The exhibition looks at the relation between the whole and the part, and at the remainder that drops out when a particular thing is abstracted into a category. The asteroids, leftovers of the collisions that formed the universe, have no horizon line, no fixed scale and no use. Seen as a heap rather than as single bodies, they read as stains, fragments the mind cannot complete, bodily and tied to decay. By giving them the look of scientific documents, the works test how far a fully constructed image can pass as evidence.

Sergi, bütün ile parça arasındaki ilişkiye ve tekil olan bir kategoriye soyutlanırken dışarıda kalan artığa bakıyor. Evrenin oluşumundaki çarpışmalardan arta kalan asteroitlerin ufuk çizgisi, sabit bir ölçeği ve bir işlevi yok. Tek tek cisimler yerine bir yığın olarak görüldüklerinde, zihnin tamamlayamadığı, bedensel ve çürümeyle ilişkili birer leke gibi okunuyorlar. Çalışmalar, onlara bilimsel belgelerin görünümünü vererek, tümüyle kurgulanmış bir imgenin ne ölçüde kanıt yerine geçebileceğini sınıyor.
