VitrA Contemporary Architecture Series Presents: Please Do Not DisturbVitrA Çağdaş Mimarlık Dizisi Sunar: Lütfen Rahatsız Etmeyin

Istanbul Modern hosted the second exhibition of the VitrA Contemporary Architecture Series, organized by VitrA and the Turkish Association of Architects in Private Practice. The theme of the exhibition, “tourism buildings”, made reference to holiday facilities while establishing a link to tourism buildings via an abstract platform. Istanbul Modern’s pop-up exhibition area was divided into rooms, and a sequence of isolated atmospheres formed the design of the presentation.

“Although ‘Please Do Not Disturb’ can at first be read as a request for a postponement in the room cleaning schedule, it actually represents the desire to escape the routine that surrounds the individual even in this temporary, good life.” All the works were made for the exhibition and shown there for the first time. The artists were Burak Arıkan, Kerem Ozan Bayraktar, Nermin Er, Meriç Kara and Metehan Özcan.
