A Music Video for a Requiem Bir Ağıt İçin Müzik Klibi
A wasp on a lollipop. At first, helped by the music, it seems to be feeding on it; towards the end the music stops, the wasp turns out to be stuck, and after a while it dies.
Bir lolipop üzerindeki bir arı. Müziğin de etkisiyle önce lolipopla beslendiği izlenimi verir; sonlara doğru müzik kesilir, arının lolipopa yapışmış olduğu görülür ve böcek bir süre sonra can verir.
The work centres on the relation between the object of desire and the body. The lollipop, standing in for a flower, is an industrial food product: its colour, smell and taste give it an allure that recalls the artificial manufacture of desire today.
The video itself is made as a music video, in the same aesthetic. The silence after the music stops and the death of the wasp deliver a blunt shock about attaining desire and its deadly side.
Çalışma temel olarak arzu nesnesi ve beden ilişkisine odaklanır. Çiçek yerine yerleşmiş olan lolipop endüstriyel bir gıda ürünüdür. Rengi, kokusu ve tadı ile bir tür çekiciliğe sahiptir ve günümüz dünyasında arzunun yapay bir şekilde imal edilişini anımsatır.
Videonun kendisi de benzer bir estetiğe hizmet edecek şekilde bir müzik klibi şeklinde tasarlanmıştır. Müziğin kesilmesinin ardından hüküm süren sessizlik ve arının ölümü, arzunun elde edilmesi ve ölümcül tarafına ilişkin katı bir şok sunar.
